Acne (WATCH OUT! DISGUSTING PICS)

Probably you all heard me complaining and saying that Shanghai literally killed my skin.

Now I want to show it to you. All the pictures are without any make up and fotoshop. Yeah, I'm THAT brave. 

I arrived to Shanghai all shiny, without any flaws on my face at all. 

 July 2009, Stockholm.

Then, a couple of weeks later, it started to get really bad. You can see the difference.

I know, I know. It's not just my skin, but ugly hair and +10 kilos already. But we all have our bad times, don't we?

December 2009, Shanghai.

Now a have a proof, that there was something in Shanghai, that was so bad for my skin.

March 2011, Shanghai.

I don't really know what it was. Air pollution, food, depression, water? Believe me, I was visiting cosmetologist every months and used tons of cosmetics against acne, nothing has helped. Except...

Moving on. Only one month later. With a FLASH!

April 2011, Hong Kong. 

I've quit smoking, I've nearly quit drinking, I began to enjoy fresh air everyday and do yoga and swim in the ocean. Generally, I've quit Shanghai. 

August 2011, Hong Kong.

I think I worth it.

The Rachel Zoe Project

How could I not know that?!

Just found out today, that Rachel Zoe has her own fashion show, where she styles the celebrities for all sorts of events, from Oscar to Fashion Week.

The show has been on since 2008 and has three completed seasons, the Season 4 just started on September 6.

The article in wikipedia is quite nice, but the web site didn't impress me that much.

For those who read less magazines than I do: Rachel Zoe is the most popular celebrities stylist of modern days. It's way much easier to say who IS NOT her client, than who actually IS. I'm not always fond of her own outfits and her passion for high heals makes me feel bad about myself, by those she works on look really stunning.

Quite often she is criticized for creating clones like Keira Knightley or Linsay Lohan, but I don't think so. Thinking like this we are all clones. 

I read her book Style from A to Zoe and it was very beautiful, inspiring and even a little bit useful. 

Well, I have three episodes of Mad Men left, so the next think I'm gonna watch is definitely The Rachel Zoe project. Hope it's available on Torrents. 

Suddenly happy?

[I'm testing my ability to make a blog bilingual. Today it's gonna be English only. If i like it, it may become English only forever. Please don't be too hard on me. Critics and comments are highly appreciated.]

Lunch time is over, I'm sitting at my desk being unforgivably lazy and suddenly realize, that I am... how do you call it? Happy? Yes, I'm happy. Or may be it's better to say that I am strong and confident and I'm feeling safe.

I'm feeling that safe, that yesterday my shrink and I decided that it's time for me to change my program to 'save' mode. Now I'm seeing her every week and it's been like this starting September 2010, without any pauses. Starting yesterday, I'll be seeing her twice a month, than we'll switch to once a month. 

I'm actually proud of myself. Moving was tough (AGAIN), but now, 6 months later, I feel a sort of balance. 

Also when I look into coming months, I'm smiling:

Work, university, yoga, choir, beauty blogs, shopping, love - and all that in a great city. 

I'm going to Bangkok, Thailand for Christmas with Anton; Pasha and his GF are coming to HK for New Year (WE GONNA ROCK!); granny will come in January and we'll go to Penang, Malaysia for Chinese New Year. I was somehow sure, that I'll never be able to travel again (until I retire, at least), but it seems that impossible is nothing (provided that you have money, yeah, funny). 

By the way, about money and fashion... Now I'm a respectable owner of two pairs of Ralph Lauren shoes, one Ralph Lauren cocktail dress, one Ralph Lauren shirt, one Nine West pair of shoes, one Nine West bag and another ton of staff from H&M, Cotton On and etc. Too bad that it all comes together only with a huge debt on my credit card. I HATE CREDIT CARDS! I would have never bought any of this staff if I didn't have one. You know what's worth? Now I want a touch pad. And half of Top Shop online store. And more. I'm a shopaholic. It's official.   

Осень

В первый раз мое лето пролетело так быстро.
Заглядываешь в календарь - там сентябрь.
Заглядываешь в контакт - там "Осень, уходи!" у каждого второго в статусе.
Выглядываешь в окно - пальмы, море 30 градусов, воздух 35 градусов.

Впервые в жизни я так жду осени. Здесь осень (+25 градусов) обычно наступает в октябре. Когда наступит осень, мы сможем завтракать и просто проводить время на балконе, сможем гулять в парках и сидеть там на лавочках (не обливаясь потом), сможем гулять по городу, а не ездить по нему в кондиционированном автобусе, перестанем зависеть от кондиционеров, сможем ходить на хайкинг.
Я МЕЧТАЮ ОБ ОСЕНИ!

Еще я мечтаю побыть пару дней в осенней Москве. Я и в прошлом году мечтала об этом, в этом тоже не получается. может, в следующем? Посмотрю на золотые листья, подышу осенним воздухом, понаслаждаюсь утренним туманом.

А пока я просто понаслаждаюсь и поделюсь прекрасными картинками.

книги!

Всего 2 месяца назад я составляла список книг, которые хочу прочитать. 

Что удивительно, уже целую одну я прочитала (Быкова, предисловие к книге Аксенова =). 

Вчера случайно залезла на ozon.ru и обнаружила, что у моих любимых французов вышло много-много всего, а я и не в курсе!

В этом особенность жизни здесь - доступ к тому, что в оригинале на английском, получаешь гораздо раньше, чем в Москве. А вот доступа к французским книгам, переведенным на русский, почему-то нет.

P.S. Да, я знаю про Киндл. Я даже подозрваю, что он стоит столько же, сколько две такие посылки с книгами. Но я пока как-то не созрела. И у меня много красивых полок. 

Obama sings 'Hey, Jude'

Сейчас случайно наткнулась на видео President Obama sings 'Hey, Jude'. 
Думаете, это как Путин с "Май блюберри хиллз"? Удивительно, но нет. Был в честь вручения Полу Маккартни приза им. Гершвина, в восточном зале Белого Дома. И на этом концерте был Обама. В конце концерта всяких почетных гостей позвали на сцену, Обаму в том числе. И все эти мега-важные люди вывалились на сцену, хлопают в ладоши и подпевают Полу Маккартни, а Пол еще и раздает им указания, типа громче - тише, мальчики - девочки. И Президент США тоже там, в этой толпе. Не вырывает ни у кого микрофон, не выпендривается, а просто хлопает и подпевает. 
Можно я на выборах президента РФ проголосую за Обаму?
